How to use your voice to become more productive
Do you also face the problem that you often have to write and spend a lot of time doing so? Wouldn’t it be nice if your voice just appeared directly on the screen?
Then this productivity hack is just what you need.
The magic word here is voice recording or dictation. Thanks to the available technology (called Speech-to-Text) you can simply speak and your voice will automatically be converted into text.
An example of this? This post was created entirely with just my voice. I first recorded the post in a Google Docs document. In Google Docs, for example, you have the option to simply use the microphone to start the voice recording, speak normally into your microphone and Google automatically translates your speech into text form. The significant advantage here is that you are of course much faster and more productive. Because we can speak much faster than we can type.
Just give it a try: Meanwhile, the office programs such as Word or Google Docs but also the popular e-mail programs have the possibility to enter text by voice. The same works not only on the computer but also with your smartphone — regardless of whether you have an Apple or Android device.
Of course, the whole thing works not only in German but also in other languages.
Now just imagine how much time you can save if you don’t have to type your mails, letters, website texts, articles, etc. by hand on the keyboard anymore but can simply use voice input to put your text on digital paper.
How much time do you think you can save?
Of course, the system is not yet fully developed. You have to make sure that you include normal punctuation marks such as periods, commas, question marks, exclamation marks, etc. in the voice input.
Finally, what is left to you as a person is to read through the created text to finish it.
Even though the Speech-to-Text Technology is already very advanced, this technology is not error-free.
I wish you success in testing and increased productivity.
